Since entering private practice in 1975, Stephen Bernstein has successfully represented both individuals and businesses. Most of our clients are regular people, in need of relief from a legal problem. Mr. Bernstein serves as a mediator and case evaluator in local Courts, and has served as a Hearing Panelist for the State of Michigan -Attorney Discipline Board for over 20 years. Active in the community, Mr. Bernstein is a retired high school and college basketball official, and currently participates in charitable, religious, campus, and local government activities.
Mr. Bernstein has been an adjunct professor of law at Michigan State University, teaching courses on attorney - client privilege, conflicts of interest, professional responsibility and legal ethics. He has been a guest lecturer in classes, and a speaker at universities around the country, on subjects including legal responsibilities of student organizations, risk management, and educators' rights and liabilities .

In May, 2011, Mr. Bernstein received a Certificate of Completion from the Michigan Association of Planning for training in Planning and Zoning Essentials. He is a member of the City of Keego Harbor Zoning Board of Appeals.
In August, 2011, Mr. Bernstein completed 30 hours of Continuing Legal Education, as required by The Florida Bar, of which he has been a member since 1984.
